We have - as promised - news again:
Today at noon Mum came back home from her Slovakian trip with Fidji, Naomi and Gizmo, and of course our latest and youngest family member was also coming: Jaris moved to our home. As we could hear, she has had a comfortable trip in a transport bag on the front passenger seat while playing and sleeping, has then made her first discovery here and finally fell asleep in her igloo.
On Friday afternoon Mum and our three family members started their trip. First they went to our vet where Gizmo got the first injection of a treatment. Then they went to our breeders' home where they also spent the first night. On Saturday morning they went to Fidji's und Naomi's breeder Ivana and her family, where Fidji was prepared for the National Specialty, to where they drove in the afternoon. Fidji got a very promising 4 in puppy class. She still has to train with Mum, so that she stands still and runs smooth, but we all had to do that. A real great result was brought home by Naomi's Dad: he got the CAC and is now Slovakian Champion. We all send a big congratulation and are really happy, that he managed it. Of course also dear and valued friends were met at the show which is always a big pleasure.
Dear Lubo has again taken pictures at the show and soon these photos can be seen in her album Shows -> Shows Fidji.
While in the evening after the show the Slovakian Chinese Crested Club had their annual meeting, Mum went for walks with the three and finally made herself comfortable in the car while Gizmo, Naomi and Fidji fell asleep, being tired from the adventures of the day. Late in the evening they all went back home to Ivana, where this time they did not chat too long, but went to bed rather soon.
Today Mum stayed until noon at Ivana, so that Jaris could digest her breakfast well for getting over the trip comfortably. It was nice when all were back home again and when we could welcome little Jaris, of which already the first pictures in her home are available in the Photo Gallery / Chinese Crested @ Caipirinha's -> Baby Jaris.
A warm thank you to Ivana for her trust in Mum and that once again she gave a treasure of her kennel into Mum's hands and responsibility. The small will have it great here and she will get everything she needs, just as we do. THANK YOU, DEAR IVANA!!!
In two weeks we are going go meet all again, as then Jaris needs her next vaccination, and we all will be driving to our families and friends. In the meantime there will be maybe the one or other photo update. Anyway, until then all the very best and have a nice coming to an end Easter.

Today there are some things to report:
A bit unexpected we have been in Slovakia today again. Mum had forgotten that our friend Gizmo needed her yearly vaccination. So she took the chance also, that little Fidji got her microchip implanted and Ula had ultrasound. Naomi and I joined Mum and the three. As there were lots of people at our vet, and the three would need quite a time, we first went to our friend Ivana, who also had planned a visit at the vet today, because her puppies needed their vaccinations and the tattoos. So we all waited at Ivana for the call of our vet that all could come. Naomi and myself could stay with our friends in Ivana's house, which was fine for us, as it was for sure more comfortable there than in the vet clinic.
The most important event at the vet was Ula's ultrasound, and already with the first time doing the sono, real joy came up: Ula is pregnant and will have again puppies mid of April, which will be born in our kennel and which will also have the name Family Song's. It's so obvious that we are going to miss Ula during the time that she is going to spend at our breeders.
Our vet has an ultrasound machine on which you can copy the pictures directly to a disk, and so Mum got of course a photo:

Oh well, and finally we also got to know it officially: in one week our new family member is going to come to us to Austria. Mum has already received the pedigree of Jaris today and an igloo for the small mouse to sleep in. Of course there are also some new photos of our little Jaris which can be admired in our Photo Gallery / Chinese Crested @ Caipirinha's -> Baby Jaris.
We had great spring weather and spent all the afternoon with our friends outside in the garden while the humans had a most delicious dinner which Lubo had prepared. Our breeder Iveta and her husband Jozef also came for a visit and both of them cuddled Ula very much, as they are looking forward to the puppies.
Only when the sun started going down we went into the house where we were playing for a while with the puppies and then fell asleep. As always, time was flying much too fast and soon it was evening and we had to travel home. But there our Briard and Yorkie family was pleased that finally we were back. Lots of thanks to Ivana and Lubo for the nice hours with them and the family!
In one week there will be another trip to Slovakia, but then it will only be Fidji, Naomi and Mum travelling. The three will spend two nights there, one before and one after the National Specialty in Devin, and then on Easter Sunday they will come back home with little Jaris and all news. Let's see what we can report by then.

Officially Mum has not yet told us something, but we are not deaf and not blind. Mum and Dad have come to a decision: there shall again be an addition to the family, it shall be a girl from Mum's great friend Ivana. And since the puppies will be eight weeks old in two weeks, we guess that on our trip back home from the Slovakian National Specialty we are going to have one passenger more in the car.
We can't really say that we had assumed something like that, but somehow there was something in the air. Mum had already seen the puppies one day after birth, and when the day before yesterday we had our short visit at Ivana, Mum and Ivana disappeared in the house and after a while Mum came back to the garden with a rapt look. Yesterday there were several conversations with Dad and every now and then photos came with e-mails from Ivana ...... and what we can infer from the pictures, it is a powderpuff girl this time. Wow, hopefully impetuous Fidjidoes not pull too much on the hair of the small girl!
And what else could be: there are already the first sites here in the homepage for our little future friend. Now we know why Mum had two "night shifts" on the computer. The ones who are interested can look at her introduction and her first slide show Chinese Crested @ Caipirinha's -> Baby Jaris. Have fun ...... this is really a very delightful little mouse!

We all have been in Slovakia again today. The trip went to the veterinary clinic where Ula's and my breeder Iveta work, and finally we have met Mum's friend Janka again, and also dear Palo, a family member of our breeders. Our Naomi had her final patella examination and Fidji a preliminary examination: Naomi is 0/0 and Fidji's preliminary result is also perfect. Great!
Dear friends of Mum joined us to pick up a grown up Whippet girl. So all of us went to Povoda. If Mum would not have the navigation system, we would probably still drive around, but this way we found our destintaion practically immediately, and brought a dear, charming Whippet girl to Austria where she now has a great home and will be spoiled all day long. From Povoda we went to Naomi's and Fidji's breeder Ivana and her family, where the humans had a coffee rest and we could run around in the garden. And before going home we drove over to Iveta to get some buying. We did not stay there, as it was time that the Whippet girl got to her new home.
In two weeks there will be another trip to Slovakia, as little Fidji is going to attend her second show: the National Specialty in Devin. Latest then there will be news from us again.

Today we have spent wonderful hours in the garden. Finally it was warm, no wind and the sun was shining all day long. Since Friday we had already sunshine, but the storm was that bad till yesterday evening, that we would have been gone with the wind if we had moved in the garden more than necessary. So we have enjoyed today to the full - together with our Briard- and Yorkie family. Back in the house we have made ourselves comfortable by turns on the living room stool, to which the sun was shining. Hopefully the weather remains like this, so that we can again spend more time in the garden. There are new photos from Ula (Ula is grown up), Naomi (Naomi's Youth) and Fidji (Fidji's Childhood). I did not keep still, so my photo gallery could not be updated.
And yesterday we all have been - together with a friend of Mum - for a short visit in Slovakia, as Mum had forgotten some things at our breeders last week. This visit also turned out great, as on Friday puppies were born and Mum could take pictures. The babies are from Bella, who had kids from myself last year, and half siblings of Naomi, as they have the same sire.
Ivana, the breeder of Naomi and Fidji also came to meet us, and a dressmaker, who makes great dog suits, brought us four suits which Mum had ordered.
In two weeks we are going to drive again to our friends and families. If in the meantime nothing special happens, I will latest by then report about news.

Our Ula is back home again!!! Now we can make up for the belated birthday celebration. We all are so much pleased that our girl is back home again, but they for me (Voodoo) it's not meant - as I heard - to have a "too close meeting" with her in next couple of days. Too bad ..........
Mum has picked up Ula from Slovakia in the evening, after she had been bred in Czech yesterday and today. Everyone now hopes, that mid of April Ula ist going to have puppies. You can find the details in our breeding page. Maybe we will receive photos from Czech in the next few days.
Till soon, we come up again as soon as there are news to report.

A birthday from one of us, but the celebration must be fetched later, as our dear birthday girl is not at home at the moment. Therefore, for the time being we can only send our congratulation over to Slovakia, spoiling will be in about a week:
(click on the photo to enlarge it)
Sincere congratulation to the third birthday, dear Ula! We all here - your dog and human family - send our very best wishes, and we look already forward with pleasure to celebrate with you, as soon as you are back home! Take good care, pretty girl!

Yesterday we have again visited our families, breeder and friends - all the four of us were on tour with Mum. And this time the four of us had a new driving experience: we have a great new dog box in the back of the car, in which we felt very comfortable, more comfortable than in the big vari kennel on the back seat.
After we had got dog food stocks at our vet, we went to our breeder Iveta, where we also met Ivana - Naomi's and Fidji's breeder.
The main reason for our trip to Slovakia was Ula: she has come into season during the week and shall be bred. To have no time pressure for travelling to the mating, we left Ula at our breeder and her family. According to the examination result, the trip to the stud can begin at any time. As soon as our girl is back in Slovakia we will go and pick her up and she will be here - just as last time - until shortly before the expected whelping day. She will have the puppies again at our breeders, and they will also have their kennel name, as Mum has agreed to two litters for our breeders when she brought Ula here.
Of course Ula is in the best hands during the next days, but still Mum is a bit sad without Ula being here at home, as Ula celebrates her third birthday tomorrow .......... and this unfortunately out of home. We will make up for celebrating when she is back home again.
Unfortunately also the show plans have got a bit mixed up now, as Ula - no sooner has she began her show season - than has to make a rest. The other ones of us will of course be shown some times.
So far latest news from here. Till soon ..........
January 27, 2008
Our show season has began, even though for the moment only for one of us:
On Friday morning Mum started - quite taken aback to realize that it was without Naomi and myself - her trip to Slovakia together with Ula and Fidji. The three drove to Ivana and her family (Fidji's and Naomi's breeder), where they spent the night to travel together to the International show in Trencin on Saturday. Ula's and my breeder Iveta also joined them - with a son of Ula's sister Lilly, little Cairo. Our little Fidji was only joining them to get used to the show tumult. Naomi and I don't really understand why we had to stay at home. We were told that it would be more comfortable here at home, and that Naomi would have deserved two days of relaxation from the high-spirited "attacks" of Fidji. That's quite possible, but usually we were also travelling. Funny .......... For sure we have missed some things, and this is what we really don't like, even though we spent a good time with our Briard and Yorkie family members. SERVES YOU RIGHT, you show freaks, you had to get out of bed early while we at home could sleep in!
In the afternoon and evening of Friday Naomi's father and Ula were prepared for the show, they were bathed and then had the first opening on the new grooming table with the hair dryer fxing: from now on that'll do as our humans now have two hands available for our body and we will have problems to see to slip off.
However: our Ula has once again brought home a great result! And of course the photos of this success can already be seen in our Photo Gallery in the album Shows -> Shows Ula. Big congratulation, dear Ula! We don't grudge you this success .......... even thought we could not be there.
Lilly's son Cairo got a very promising - he just did not want to run, unfortunatelly. Then there was also Ula's daughter Airy Ancietta, who went home with an exc. 3, and Naomi's father got an exc. 2 CAC. Early in the afternoon all of them were back in Ivana's home, where a delicious dinner was waiting for them, and early in the evening Mum, Ula and Fidji came back home at long last. Although Naomi and myself had been "stood up", naturally we greeted the three warmly, and we are happy that now we are all together again.
Ivana and Lubo: Mum says thanks so much for your hospitality and the great time with you!
Some time before long we will travel to our breeders again, and then all of us are allowed to go there, at least this is what was said today.
14. Januar 2008
Fidji, the youngest here in the league, the one which just moved here to us, is six months old today. Our vivacious girl until now has all - not only us, but also the Briards and the human - kept on trot very much, and she always comes up with something new. Actually she should have been called "Turbo-Fidji".
(click on the photo to enlarge it)
Whe she "acts the innocent" as on the photo then she just cooks out something .......... such "breathers" are only short-lived. :-)
However: normally such an anniversary day is not celebrated, but we do so as it is a real great step to direction youth and grown up, and therefore, we wish our Fidji all the best for her half-year-birthday! Thanks to Ivana, Fidji's breeder, for this "hooligan" - we don't want to miss our "Turbo Mouse" any day!
January 9, 2008
Our first event in the New Year is a birthday: Sweatheart Naomi is one year old today. Happy Birthday from all of us to a very exceptional dear and sweat "Chinese girl"! And so that everyone can see, how cute our family member is, there is a slide show of Naomi with new photos: Photo Gallery / Chinese Crested @ Caipirinha's -> Naomi's Youth.
As Mum was working on an update of our site, she also put new photos of little Fidji into her slide show: Photo Gallery / Chinese Crested @ Caipirinha's -> Fidji's Childhood.
Till soon, latest after the show in Trencin with Ula.
January 1 , 2008
A Happy New Year as well as health, luck and success for our families, all our dear friends, our companions as well as all Chinese Crested fanciers!
