Sterling (Champ. Daretobebares STERLING SILVER), who unfortunately crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year, would have her birthday today. A candle was lit for her to see that she is in my thoughts. This video shows her on her 16th birthday last year.

Today the Caipirinha's N litter celebrates its 12th birthday. Best wishes to Needy (Caipirinha's NEEDLESS 2SAY) and Toulouse (Caipirinha's NOTHING 2LOSE) in Germany as well as to Tanner (Champ. Caipirinha's NUTBUSH CITY LIMIT) in Canada and Maverick (CIB Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) here in the house.
May 15 to 21, 2023:

The Caipirinha's P litter was born on May 15, 2014. Congratulations to Prada, Pagani and Porsche (which is unfortunately already on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge).
My very first Chinese Crested was born on May 21, 2005: Voodoo (Champ. Family Song's VOODOO), who unfortunately also left forever far too early.
May 15, 2023:
We have the next show weekend behind us. On May 12th, Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA), Dyoma (Multi-Champ. Magic of Success DIAMOND) and I went to Serbia to take part in the national show in Mol and the international show in Ada. Unfortunately this weekend was blessed with rain and so we had to stay in the tent the whole time. Nevertheless, there were again great results:
Dyoma finished the national show Mol with CAC and BOS, Mamacita got CAC and BOB. Dyoma thus fulfills the conditions for Beauty Champion Serbia and Mamacita for Grand Champion Serbia.
At the international show Ada, Dyoma left the ring with CAC and Res. CACIB, Mamacita with CAC and CACIB. And with Dyoma's result at this show he also fulfills the conditions for Grand Champion Serbia. With this CACIB, Mamacita now meets the requirements for the International Beauty Champion (FCI).
The accommodation in Senta - where we were last year - was disappointing this time: It is a new building next to the building we lived in back then. The property is accessible to everyone as the entrance gate is not locked. The same applies to access to the rooms, no possibility of locking the entrance door. So you can only lock the room. The advertisement for the accommodation says that there is a communal kitchen. In contrast to the old building, this does not apply here: in the corridor to the rooms there is only a kettle and a microwave on a mini chest of drawers (there are a few plates, cups and glasses). No possibility to sit down anywhere except on the veranda. If you want hot water, you have to wait forever and waste a lot of water. Bathing the dogs was terrible: no shower with a hose, but a shower head high up almost on the ceiling. So I had to improvise and filled the large trash can in the hallway and the one in the room with water... and it almost hit me: the water was green. I don't need to emphasize that I was happy to always have my own drinking water for the dogs and myself. I can't imagine what the dogs would have "suffered" if they drank this broth.
The highlight was the daily price for the dogs: twice as much for each as last year. We'll definitely will never be seen there again!
May 3, 2023:
Today we returned home from Zaton/HR, where we went on April 27th. Mamacita (Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) and Dyoma (Multi-Champ. Magic of Success DIAMOND) took part in three of the four international Zadar shows, Maverick (CIB Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) and Hippie (CIB Multi-Champ. from Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) accompanied us. The first exhibition was a failure for us because I was struggling with severe circulatory problems in the morning and didn't dare leave the accommodation.
Unfortunately, all judges - except for one day - only looked at the hairless dogs. Mamacita came second at all shows with Res. CAC. Dyoma also received Res. CAC at two shows, only on the penultimate day he received CAC and Res. CACIB. Since the CACIB dog is already an international champion, the Res. CACIB can be converted to CACIB.
For Mamacita, the dream of becoming the Croatian beauty champion is over (she would have needed two more CACs), and of course for Dyoma too because he is still missing three CACs. It doesn't seem to help if we're in the ring against hairless people, they're preferred.
But my stay at the Zaton Holiday Resort was as nice and pleasant as every year and I was able to enjoy the excellent Croatian cuisine and unwind again. I view this trip as a relaxing getaway with four of my darlings.
On May 1st we celebrated Hippie's sixth birthday with a special menu for her and lots of treats for the other three. And on May 2nd - like every year - I had a heavy heart and many tears in my eyes because that was the day my very special dog Keanu (CIB Multi-Champ. Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) passed away.
