Today Mum was playing Santa Claus and went over to our breeders in Slovakia with our presents. Unfortunately Ula and myself were left back at home and only Naomi and Fidji joined her, but since she did not stay away too long, it was not that bad.
First they went to Ivana and Lubo, where the new grooming table was unpacked, so that we don't need to have our own one with us whenever we have shows in Slovakia. Then Mum and Ivana went to our vet to get some dog food for all of us, and of course also for wishing nice holidays. Back to Ivana and Lubo, where the presents were interchanged, and for all the four pawed ones of us Ivana sent a pack full of treats. THANK YOU, dear Ivana!!!
Coffee was hardly drunk, when the tour continued: again together with Ivana to our breeder Iveta and Jozef, where again presents changed the owner, and where they had a delicious lunch. The stay there was also only short, as there is a big family celebration today on the occasion of Jozef's birthday a week ago. And soon Mum was back home.
Now it depends on the weather if we are going to drive to our families and friends before the turn of the year or if we are going to meet them all again only next year. Let's see how things turn to be ......

During the last weekend we (Ula and myself) finished our this year's show season. Together with Mum and some very special friends we have once again made a long trip: we have been in Zagreb at the two days International Show.
On Friday evening Ula, Mum and myself as well as our Briard friend Courage went to Naomi's and Fidji's breeder Ivana and her family, where we waited for our breeder Ondrej as well as Magda and Franta (kennel Avokaduh), and then during the night all together drove to Zagreb with two cars. On time before show begin we were there and could put up all our kennels and other things in a "calmer" corner in one of tha halls.
As Courage was judged in another hall than we, there was a kind of "restlessness" in the beginning because every now and then it was necessary to check when Courage would have her turn. Ivana and Ondrej were prepared that just in case both of them hat to show us if Courage would be in the ring with Mum at the same time, but everything was perfect and so all of us could be handled by Mum. Courage was the first and our youngest Briard family member (16 months old) came out on top: Exc. 1 CAC CACIB and she also got a special award of a Croatian Briard Breeder for Winners Bitch. Ula and myself did not come out that good: Ula got Exc. 4 and IExc. 2 Res CAC. Mum still was of course very pleased, as with the result of Courage she was thrilled.
Ivana unfortunately also did not come out with Naomi's father as good as we all had hoped for and wished. And also Magda could only partly take home results which her dogs deserved. Oh well, this is "Show Business". Still late in the afternoon we drove to our hotel cheerul and spent some pleasant and funny hours together before we went to bed rather early because of lack of sleep in the last night.
Sunday morning brought a surprise for Mum of which she was not really happy: already on the past evening Ondrej had recognized that one of the tires of the car had less air, and that was why Mum wanted to fill up the tire on the next day after the show, so that the car was fixed for the way home. Mum woke up early in the morning and went for a walk with Courage. A look at the car brought her heart being in her mouth: the car tire did not have any air and the wheel was standing on the rim. Now Mum needed help and asked at the hotel reception that they called somewhere to put off the bad tire and fix the spare tire, which would be combined with some work as in the back of the car there is the big crate for our Briards which hinders a bit to get to the spare tire. But after only two phone calls help was organized and everything went perfect. Shortly before 7 a.m. a driver of the Croatian Touring Club came, hoisted out the dog crate, changed the tires and put back the dog crate to its place. For 40 Euro our car was fully roadworthy again within 10 minutes. What else could now bring Mum to stress after this morning surprise?
Again on Sunday we had a comfortable place for us dogs and all our things, and again everything was perfect with the two different show rings for Courage and us. And also this time Courage came out of the ring with a wonderful success: Exc. 1 CAC and Res. CACIB. Great!!! We are mighty proud of our friend that with only four shows in her life she already has such excellent results. For us Chinese things were nearly as the day before: Ula got Exc. 3, myself again Exc. 2 Res. CAC and also Naomi's father as well as Magda's dogs remained behind the results, which they would have deserved. No matter, we have spent a gorgeous weekend together. Mum was happy as she still has been very successful with one of our family members, and therewith, early in the afternoon we started our trip back in direction home. We drove again to Ivana and late in the evening back home, where we were welcomed heartfully by all the other family members and immediately - without unpacking the car - went to bed tired.
A warm thank you to Ivana, Ondrej, Magda and Franta for this weekend together with them and lots of thanks to Ondrej and Franta that they have been helpful at any time for Mum with the transport and putting up and down all our things. Mum and we are proud to have such great friends.
Until spring 2008 we have a show rest, but in the meantime we will meet our friends every now and then, as we don't stop our trips to Slovakia.

We have once again spent a nice weekend: great days with our families and friends and two shows.
On Friday noon we "Chinese" together with Mum drove to Naomi's and Fidji's breeder Ivana and her family where we spent a great time and two nights. We have been styled and late in the evening our breeder Ondrej came over to bring the finishing "touch" to us.
Saturday a Special Show of the Slovakian Chinese Crested Club took place in Nitra, where we met some other family members, namely Ula's son Armani and her daughter Airy Ancietta as well as Ula's nephew Calvin. We all have been shown, for Naomi and Fidji this was the opening in the show ring and for all of us there was great success: the young Airy Ancietta got the BOB, Naomi's dad got the Exc. 1 in open class, and there was also good respectively great success for Fidji, Naomi, Ula and myself.
On Sunday the CACIB show took place in Nitra. Except our little Fidji we all were in the show ring, but of course Fidji has joined us. Ula's son Ambiente was also there, as well as her daughter Airy Ancietta again, and of course some of our friends. It was a bit hectic as obviously the parking spaces were gone and we had to wait quite a while for driving ahead, and then we had to walk quite a distance to get to the show ring (actually it was only the humans who had to walk, as we were in our comfortable transport kennels and were driven). At the ring there was also no more space for us, and so we had to search for a corner to have our kennels there. Everthing was hectic, as the judge had already started, and so it happened that nearly immediately after our arrival I had to get into the ring, and some minutes later Naomi had to get into the ring. Mum lost her nerves for a short time (because I had been "nasty" in the ring by not wanting to stand properly and still), and so our breeder Ondrej handled Naomi. A short breather was followed by the turn of Ula, who was shown by Mum again. Then it turned a bit calmer and we could sleep for a while in our kennel while the humans had a chat. Unusualle the judge made his decision about the CACIB for the males immediately after having judged the powderpuff boys. After the judging of the powderpuff females it was time for the CACIB of the ladies, by which once again big tension appeared, but the beginning nerve wrecking time was finally rewarded very positively. The results of the weekend are in the pages Show results of each of us, and the photos of both shows in the Photo gallery of each of us.
We all are grateful for the pleasant time at Fidji's and Naomi's breeder and family, and of course for the incredible hospitality! It was really two and a half great days which we don't want to miss. To our breeder Ondrej we say thank you that on the second show day he helped out to handle Naomi at the occasion of Mum's weak nerves.

Yesterday we have all been at Naomi's and Fidji's family and have enjoyed wonderful hours in the garden. Our little Fidji had her particular fun, as she could toll around with four of her siblings, and she enjoyed it. Lubo has cooked a gorgeous meal .......... but unfortunately only for the human. In the evening our breeders Iveta and Ondrej came over, and before we all went home we visited them for short.
Lots of thanks for the wonderful hospitality, dear Ivana and dear Lubo. We have enjoyed the hours with you as much as always. In some time we meet again, latest when we all together go to our next show beginning of November 2007 and spend two nights with our family and friends.
There are some new photos - of Fidji (from yesterday and today), Naomi and also of myself (Voodoo).
