Mum is back home from the show weekend in Croatia. Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY) had his European Show Debut in Vukovar (national show) and Osijek (international show); Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA) has joined them. It shall have been a nice weekend, Mum has met her dear friends Gerli and Rudi and the time off from the shows they enjoyed in the same accommodation with a great host.

Steel's first show results in Europe are great: Saturday in Vukovar Exc. 2 Res. CAC and Sunday in Osijek Exc. 1 CAC CACIB. We all congratulate heartfelt to this great appearance in the European Show scene! All details to the shows can be found in the site Steel's Show results.

Let's see what we can report next time. In the meantime we all enjoy each day in the garden and hope that the weather remains that beautiful for a long time. Till soon!

Mum is back home from her summer holidays in the USA. We can hear that she has enjoyed each single day over there and has experienced much. She has been living at the breeder of Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON), finally met Mary Ann, the breeder Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY) personally - just as another breeder of the kennel Daretobebare - and also met lots of friends of the "group". On the first four days of her stay she has been at the dog show in Kansas City. Of course she also brought lots of things with her which are not available here in Europe - for us, for our Briard friends and for herself. Every day she was out and about and has seen much of Missouri and Kansas. Because she liked it so very much, it's already planned that she flies there again in May 2011.

And we are pleased to announce that Mum has brought one of our breed with her, a stud from Kiko, the breeder of our Zoey: since September 2, 2009, Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY - he is the grandfather of Zoey) is with us for about two years on breeding station and he is also here to be shown in Europe. Therefore, Mum has set up a page for Steel, and she has already planned the first shows with him. Steel has settled in quite good already and he feels good in our crew.

Mum thanks Kiko and all the other breeders of the kennel Daretobebare for the trust and the fortune to have this beautiful boy here with us. She really appreciates this obligingness very much.

Only two weeks after the first birthday of Zoey, her half-sister, our Gucci (Daretobebare's GUCCI, TAKE MY BREATH AWAY), celebrates the same special day: she is one year old.

Happy Birthday, dear Gucci. It's natural that you will be spoiled very much today, and we will all take care that you can enjoy this day as much as possible.

Mum wants to thank Gucci's breeder Mary Ann again for placing confidence in her, so that this girl can be with us. And: Mum looks very much forward to meet Mary Ann and Kiko (Zoey's breeder) in the next couple of days, and that she can spend two great weeks with Kiko and her family.

During the stay in Croatia at the occasion of the long show weekend in Split, Mum has taken some photos of Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA) and Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) in the harden of the hosts. These pictures are now in the photo galleries Ula is grown-up and Zoey's Youth.

Today is a big day for our Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON): she celebrates her first birhtday, the last birthday celebration of this month, the fourth all in all in our pack.

A very happy birthday from all of us, and of course also from Mum, espially healthiness for a life time. To have Zoey here is really great und we don't want to miss one single day with her.

Mum is back home from the long show weekend in Split - je was joined by Ula (Champ. Family Song's ULA), Zoey (Daretobebares FLY ME TO THE MOON) and our dear neighbour Alex. They had a great accommodation outside of Split, sight to the sea, a wonderful garden, parking space in the garage, not far to go shopping and very dear hosts, who allowed to harvest anything that was ready (strawberries and tomatoes) and who spoiled them with ice cream.

The shows were four night long, twice CAC and twice CACIB. It was a bit strenuous to be on the show area already in the late afternoon, to catch a parking space (paid) and a space for the tent, the dog crate and all the stuff which is usually with us at a show. It was hot, hot, hot ...... and Mum says that she will never again expect something like that from us dogs if it is again under such circumstances. Thank goodness this year she bought a ventilator for the dog crate, which works with power supply as well as with batteries. This way Ula and Zoey did not only have air condition in the car (Mum has non), but also on the show ground.

Ula once again did not have too much luck ...... well, that is how it goes from time to time. Luckily she did not need wins, as she can only start her run for the Croation Championship later this year. You can find the results in the site Ula's Show Results.

Anyway, we are happy that they all arrives safe and sound at home.

As beautiful and funny the past week was, as sad is this Sunday: our very best Briard friend Zabou had to go over the Rainbow Bridge today in the morning, having not even reached the age of 8 years. Here all are sad and can't believe it. Some of us search for her .......... With Zabou we have lost an  indescribable treasure. She was always available for our plays, never ever she was rough - no matter how small we were, no matter how much we demanded from her.

Zabou, you leave a big empty space for all of us. Thank you that we were allowed to join you, thank you for all your love and affection. Even though we have exclusively nice memories of you, we won't really get over this loss. We will never forget you dear Zabou.

On of the two sons of Ula, the powderpuff boy Lorenzo Lamas, has found a home today. He is now living in Vienna with Karoline and her family. We wish the grown family all the best and for Lorenzo we wish a happy, funny and always healthy life. We look already forward to visits from him.

Today is a big day for our Fidji: she celebrates her 2^nd Birthday and is, therewith, grown-up (although she often does not "behave" like this).

We all wish this hairless "turbo mouse" the very very best, and we can say absolutely convinced that we enjoy each day with her, and that we don't want to miss her here. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Fidji!!!
